i've had these boots for a couple of months now and haven't worn them whatsoever, because they sit so weirdly on my leg/foot. they're just NOT like the sam eldeman ones (besides, i would love to have the quilted harness instead). which is why i'm almost considering selling these and hunting the eldeman's as originally planned (but back then they weren't in stock and now they're almost everywhere) i mean it would be wonderful to own the balenciagas! but ofcourse the eldeman's would be cheaper and easier to find. i think urban outfitters or nastygirlvintage are selling some? anybody with a size 7 foot? otherwise.. check out oaknyc: http://www.oaknyc.com/just-in/women/maurie-eve-motorcycle-boot.html

cheap thrills. i love it when you least expect things like receiving a parcel (the white blazer in this case) and you rip it open, only to find that the blazer was from Bloomingdales :)

the listing only stated it was from New York and assumably thought it was vintage.. but it was new with tags. aahh, cheap (yes, the blazer was relatively cheap too) thrills.

i even tried to ebay and net-a-porter this scalloped blazer (and found out it went on sale down from.. ready.. US$2,785 to $1,671.) ha, i'd probably purchase it over a givenchy bag.. hm nah not really. anyway, i bought a copy (Because to no avail or luck or expenses.. i bought a ruffle white blazer on eBay from New York. It's not the same, but for 15 bucks it's just good enough?)

Chloës style is effortlessly stunning and very well-put together. That whole Chloé collection was amazing! (including the scalloped shorts she wears in the navy and cream version - remember i posted about this with Kate Bosworth: click 'nude' tag)

On the same note, I ended up purchasing the illionaire nude leather shorts in that tag as well.. (such great quality!! more leather-suede than the shiny type but it's gorgeous)

This is so me, end up doing a couple-a posts in one day, then ditch it for another month..

But that's just the way i get into the blogging spirit.

Within these two weeks my lolo (grandfather) passed away, he's a man I admire so much because he lived a life of dignity and was so respected amongst all his peers. He raised me as a child and spoilt me with love.. I thank God that I was blessed with a man like him even for only 19 years. It's been one of the hardest emotional struggles I've come across. I will cherish every last moment I had with him at the hospital and in my nineteen years of life. I don't want to really talk about it all.

So ......... . .. . . . .. let's talk about the shoes my mother bought me for the funeral - not the best ocassion but will be wearing them repititiously. (I tried to hint my boyfriend to buy them on our 5 years but it didn't come across too well.. ha ha) They'e by an Aussie shoe chain-store who practically replicates every targeted trend, but I didn't want to miss these ones only because I needed a pair of wedges and lace ups are just a bonus.. expect a hundred wears from them my Sydney-friends. HAHAHAHA

I've been dreaming about this outfit for sometime now, I saved it on my boyfriend's computer during Sydney RAFW '09 over a month ago? (or whenver this image came out on Garance), and haven't gotten over it.

Speaking of slacks on the last post, how amazing are olive green kakhi ones? I'm searching for some now.

And her vest is by Karen Walker Shearling Slate Waistcoat, recently saw them on sale for $376.20 at Maximillia... hmmmmmm would this be a good investment this winter? I'm not sure If it'd be a staple but I'll definitely wear it just to make up for the price. yay? nay? yay? it's just grown on me.. even if it has that ol' aussie outback sheep appeal hahah

Final exams start next week, ouch. But after that, I promise I’ll do an outfit post to make up. I’ve gone on a shopping haul and cannot wait until the fifteenth for pay month. Hurrah! Monthly pay feels like forever.

Anywho, today I went to Salvo's and are they ever so trusty with an array of slacks, bought a pair of nude harems, with pleating in the crotch area.. I love them to bits! And I ended up buying some pleated black pants that I will be cutting into shorts, a woollen cream shirt (for winter) and a Hugo Boss crochet dress - and then I found out they were all half price when I got to the counter... and I paid only 10 bucks! Boy, am I over the moon?

This place is my weekly uni stop-over before I head over to work, but I think i'll have to wait until the fifteenth to really enjoy shopping again.. the worst part is.. I pencilled into my diary earlier this year, that I would be going to Surry Hills markets this month.. looks like that'll have to wait again.

ever heard of that saying ... uh well my cousin Erika said it to me recently anyway, "your spending's equal to the amount of money you have", i thought, well uh err duh? but now i challenge that concept because i have just spent a hundred bucks tonight on eBay (you'll be hearing plenty of this). anyhow, i only have 20 bucks in my pocket and an untouchable savings account, i have promised the sellers i will pay by monday, that only means that my weekly allowance- ha, yeah my parent's still feed me money for uni (which is not enough, might i add).. which also isn't enough to pay off my splurge. so i'll just have to ask for extra. my mother used to hand me her credit card's to pay for all my ebay expenses.. i think she realised it was a continuous thing and doesn't support my cause- well at least, she paid for almost over 400+ but that's out of the 203592 i have also purchased. what have i been buying all these years? i can't even find them in my wardrobe? speaking of wardrobe, i finally sorted mine out after a reckless three month vacation.. yep, still nothing in there.

okay anyway, the point of this post was to show you what i bought? but clearly.. i ranted (i would usually do this for all posts but i'd probably bore you with what i have to say)

faux (has to be faux- poor animals) fur vest - finally!
i was inspired by this:
a sheer cropped (it says it's a 'corset' but i wouldn't call it that) top, with crochet embroidery. this one is definitely inspired by thefoxyman, who purchased such an amazing vintage Wang-esque top from Byron Bay. mine can't even compare to this, if only there was another..

i really should have waited out for a cheaper vest but hey, meh. i'm still looking for a fur jacket though- a furrry nice one! geddit? a verrry nice one! har di har ha! oh and also, noted on my last post... a velvet one! somebody want to help eBay with me? lol

i can't wait until my tight ass days are over. i need a job so baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad.

4. I have 60+ pairs of shoes now, can't count but i only wear 3-5 of the same ones across the week.
5. I love scoping antique furniture shops (daily after uni), but never buy anything because I always look at my wallet and think that it could go towards a nice pair of shoes or jewellery, in the end... it goes to food- mostly sushi. ha!

Today I awoke with a really fervent, quasi-religious desire to buy a high-waisted, red leather miniskirt. I have no choice but to answer the divine call. It just really feels like the right thing to do on a purely spiritual level, you know? I think we can only really blame it on my inner self, who I like to present as a sensitive feminist thinker but is actually a slutty 1970s teen in grass-stained white jean shorts, whose name may or may not be "Cindy" (when she comes to me in visions she's usually bending over the hood of a cherry-red 1979 Camaro, and maybe sucking a lollipop. I think she's my spirit animal or something, if it isn't too misogynistic to think of a slut as an "animal"). In some ways it's comforting to know that I could fulfill my divine destiny with a thirty-minute journey to the scummier part of Camden, if only I actually had some money. I wish it had been me rather than Dolly Parton who had come up with the quip that "it takes a lot of money to look this cheap", but unfortunately she coined that kicky little aphorism first and I am far too tired to come up with an alternative, so congratulations, Wigtits McGee, you win again - I have no choice but to use your quotation like I'm some kind of gay Hallmark card (I don't think that was technically un-PC, you guys, because I believe that homosexuals would be the key demographic of a Dolly Parton greetings card, no? I literally have $3 in my "spendings" account, i recently purchased this bikini top (oh yes, it's only the top) only to fulfill my stud-obsession and i was previously searching for a white bikini top after seeing a girl with a really pretty one at Manly. And so, to satisfy my white + stud love, i came across peeps.org/ (they have some pretty cool one-off clothing) and impulsed a buy from there! (AND I DON'T EVEN HAVE ANY PROPER BOTTOMS FOR IT!) but i love it anyway and will even wear it out, wear a white sheer top over? or along the lines.. that's how gorgeous it is (to me)!

US$100 is pretty crazy for our Aussie dollar economy, the exchange is like 150+ or something? I hate it! I wish i were back in our 90+ cents days.. and the exchange isn't even stopping me! It's so dangerous..

Well, now I have to wait for money to clear- it's been a week! Stupid paypal, i hate how eCheques take so long.. then I have to wait another two weeks for it to arrive.

But hey, to make up for my groundfloor savings i'll be receiving 180 from an ebay seller because I selling a few things.. i'm thinking about selling my polaroid camera (don't know why people are still buying them, when they don't even produce film anymore)

I should think about what to sell now since my contract with David Jones has concluded. It only leads me towards poor-dom and possibly an unsuccessful haul for a job.

I'm thinking of buying the AA Double U Neck Dress ($56), I've had a whole year to buy it. But haven't had sufficient funds. But then i'd need to buy chicken fillets? My ones now lost it's adhesiveness? Don't you hate that?

I don't know what shoes to buy or wear for this weekend, i don't even want to buy shoes for it because I only have $100, like what shoes can I buy with that?

I was thinking Siren Dice shoes (Sale for $69.95), the pink heels (Olsen's Giambattista Valli shoes) and Wittner-esque (well the ones i originally wanted agessss ago) beige suedey fabric and strappy? Yes. Hm. Well i think it's very like me to buy something like that because it totally will only be worn once, but I have to wear it every weekend because I have nothing else to wear down there, all my shoes died out. But then again, I've been dying for the Givenchy copies ($129.95) for a long time but I have insufficient funds for them. (bottom picture) -cries a puddle-

I'll see how it goes, because I'm going to Crown St. tomorrow. AND i probably won't buy anything I mentioned above..

Christmas is just around the corner (literally, next week)
I'm not a kiddy anymore, but my parents always spoil my brother and I during Xmas, and it seems that I already have presents under the tree, so I suppose if i receive "$$$" from relatives then this is what I need:

- Sewing machine (number one on my list- it would be a new Chanel bag, but this one will come later)
- Shoes! (there's like 10 of them that fall into this category)

- Plain black tshirt dress

- New hat? black fedora? mmm.. maybe

I finally have the studded Levi's cutoffs I've been lusting for, they were Rumi's (from fashiontoast- as pictured below).. I started this lemming ever since I saw Erin Wasson's levi's. Now I can indulge myself in them alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll summer long.

Oh, but I did wish they came with a little more studding in the back and more rips and what-not(like Erin's- i guess i can always DIY) but can't complain, they're my perfect shorts for now.

Finally had the time to cut up that old vintage wedding dress (I was originally planning to wear to Ibz Halloween 21st birthday) for Erika's Spanish Harlem 21st.. so I guess they fit both pretty well? Tiers and ruffles, perfecto!

Don't mind the unzipped back - I really want it to be backless! (but I guess I'll leave that for an alterations place? maybe not)

I'll be chopping and sewing a lot more since I haven't been rostered for work for like weeks, it's awful!

When I noticed that the jeans i've been meaning to buy sold out, I thought about DIY-ing (..oh yes, dying)

I wasn't so sure it was a good idea to cut up my jeans because i'm a failure when it comes to razors and scissors, and could easily make a mistake. But i suppose the whole idea of the style is to make it as edgy and effortlessly chic subconciously. So i'll let my scissor-hands play its part tonight...

Aussie designer collections are such an upset, and I speak as a delayed 'window shopper', who has only gotten round to checking out the stock out right now. I like the black n white tye-die thing going on, but some things just went overboard. I'm not even happy with Lover's 'Love Bomb' collection, I seriously hope that RAFW Autumn '08 has great designs in stall for the future. (ok speaking from the povo girl right now.) Bring back the good ol' Altamont and Black Rose Army.

I'm back in the blogging cyber-world, due to holiday and winter blues.. this weather has kept me in bed all holidays! It's dreadful. But i shall get out of bed tomorrow and watch a movie with my lover.

Today (well technically yesterday, it's past midnight!), I received my results for first sem and yes, i'm quite happy with them. Also got around to cleaning my wardrobe. As in, hanging up everything that was lying on my chair and bed post and tidy up the drawers.

I noticed that so much of my clothing (mostly the dresses that i hung up) are so colourful and 76.4% of what i've worn has been black, white or gray. I've turned bland, but black is love. "Once you go black, you never go back", hahaha how cliche. Nonetheless, I have to show som love to my coloured garments. Another thing i noticed is that.. i'm sooo sick of my clothes. I'm in serious need of a new wardrobe.

BUT because i've been such hermit and nocturnal creature, i haven't checked out the shops. Which is another dreadful thing i've picked up these holidays, an extremely screwed up sleeping pattern. But back to shopping, I have relied on shopping through fingertips.. eBay! (my mum's credit card ain't too happy with me)..

ANYWAY maybe I should close my laptop and start fixing up my sleepin patterns by sleeping now.
